mindless

too afraid to meet
what i already know
i chose to lose my senses
and began to feel
all that i had preached
while claiming to each
their own
as my weeds overgrow
inviting the reaper
to tend what i've sown
while my neighbors grow weary
of inquiring mindlessly.
